So AA Lithium Ion batteries should be fine right? They aren't badly priced, and have 2900 MAH.

Also keep in mind that rechargables may hold there charge for a decent amount of time, but most of them are only 1.2v output. So if the minumum voltage the device can operate on is only 1.1v, you now have only a 100mv difference between your device dying and having the batteries fully charged, as apposed to 400mv with normal Lithium Ion

Those Energizer's aren't rechargeable. They're single use for high-draw electronics. They replaced the Titanium line of batteries. They sell online for $10/4. If you buy 15 pkgs, that's $150. For that $150, you could upgrade to the Canon G9 which comes with a Li-ion battery pack.

Thanks man. My wife bought me a nice case for it this weekend, and I bought some 2900 MAH batteries that are supposed to last forever. I'll be taking a ton of pics with it tomorrow and post some up for sure. So far, this camera is bad ass.

I've got a little 6 inch tripod from some time ago that fits it, nice for low angle shots for sure, but I might pick up one of those mono pods or something for it later. We'll see how much I like this sucker first. I need to get some screen protectors for it and a silicone case if they start making them for this camera.

More to follow soon!
