Bumping this back up. I am not having the same problem, but didn't feel the need to start a new thread about it.

I have a Dell Inspiron 6000(laptop) and the arrow keys are not working right. I usually use them to scroll up and down the page rather then the mouse pad. The left and right arrow keys work fine, but the up/down arrows are the ones not working right.

For about the last 2 weeks, when ever I try to scroll up or down using the arrow keys, a text cursor appears amongst the text on the page, and then proceeds to scroll up through the text instead of scrolling the page like it normally would. Bugs the piss out of me.

I have searched through the control panel and don't see what could be changed to correct it. Could it be some kind of driver I need to go download? I had to download one once before when my mouse pad wasn't working correctly, but didn't see any concerning the arrow keys.

Any suggestions?
