(04:28 PM) TibFreak - I'm also having websites pop up, Viagra and porno.org?!
(04:27 PM) TibFreak - with control.exe being replaced with whatever is trying to be ran.
(04:26 PM) TibFreak - Every time i do, it says "SECURITY WARNING" Application cannot be executed. The file control.exe is infected. Do you want to activate your antivirus software now?
(04:24 PM) TibFreak - but it will not let me run ANYTHING.
(04:23 PM) TibFreak - That antivirus thing is popping up saying i am infected and blah blah blah, seems like a pop up
(04:23 PM) TibFreak - That is some bad sentence structure.
(04:22 PM) TibFreak - Does, rather
(04:22 PM) TibFreak - Is Antivirus System PRO got anything to do with windows?

Thats some stuff I put in the shoutbox, in reverse order of course.

I can also have the internet card unplugged, and it will say:

"Antivirus System Pro alert" --- INFILTRATION ALERT - Your computer is being attacked by an internet virus. it could be a password stealing attack a trojan - dropper or similar.

DETAILS - attack from: 125.188.194.34, port 46607, Attacked port 37176, threat: bankerfox.A <-------that isn't always the name of the threat.
Do you want to block this attack?

If I click NO, it goes away, but keeps popping up. If I click YES, it takes me to a website, something like winsecure.com or similar, but the page will not load, now why won't it load?

It is being blocked by my actual anti-virus, AVG free, and it says that the site is a threat......

I don't get it, I will get one of these internet virus alert popups when i am not even connected to the internet.

So guys, any suggestions? I have no clue how to remedy the problem. If anybody says the AVG anti-virus isn't effective, it has been for 4-5 years now, so i doubt that is the core of my problem.

you have a nasty virus. it will not let you get to task manager, its going to try to pop up 13489852q3u45324 windows, and may not even let you into safe mode. i saw this at work the other day. Best to have a pro look at it because it is one of the more nasty virus ive seen on computers.

Its not as simple as talking someone through removing it.

The only thing I can suggest is taking it into safe mode, then download MalwareBytes Anti-Malware and run a full scan.

Safe Mode:
Mash F3 during post to bring up a menu, then choose Safe Mode With networking.

MalwareBytes Anti-Malware: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

last time I got one, it wouldn't even let me run my AV programs.

Go and install Spybot Search and Destroy, and update it, then use the IMMMUNIZE function, then use the full scan.

After that, go here to get a free full computer scan done, online. This is the ONLY way I could get rid of that last virus I got.

I was amazed how well it worked for me.

MalwareBytes Anti-Malware is like the only antivirus software I tried which didn't suck. That doesn't necessarily mean it will do the job, but I'd try that one first.

Thanks guys, trying some of those routes as I speak.

I am trying the link SOCKS gave me, seems to nail it pretty good to the problems I am having. I knew something was fooked up when I would go to click OK to buy the program(just to check out what it was) my ACTUAL anti-virus would say the site was a threat.
