I just got an HP Pavillion ze4210 laptop for $360 bux!!!

It's a refurb though but so far I have had no problems with it.

1.6GHz
256MB Ram
20GB HDD
DVD-ROM
14.1" XGA TFT avtive matrix screen

PXE compliant NIC (this is a huge plus. For those of you that don't know, a PXE compliant NIC means I can boot from the network, kinda like you would a floppy)

Windows XP Home

My father-in-law is an executive for a large retail chain on the west coast. He bought it for me on double employee discount day.
I'm stoked....... It's not the best one in the world, but for $360 I think I just got the deal of the century!!!

Anyway, the wife couldn't share my happiness so I thought I'd share it here!!

EDIT: Downloading the stupid blaster fix now. I threw it up on the Internet without being patched of firewalled and got blaster in a matter of 10 minutes. shock.gif

That IS a good deal, obviously not the best laptop in the world, but for what you got it was a good deal.

I looked there when we talked about it last time, they didn't have any.

 

I got a couple of extra PDAs that I'd be willing to sell ya!.. They're the Handspring Visors Deluxe models though.....you probably want something CE powered.

 

I think they cleared there inventory before Windows Mobile 2003 came out, they should have more in soon.

i will probably never own a laptop. the controls are far to clumsy, and you can't really customize them like i do with my desktops.

 

I hate Laptop keyboards.

Actually, I hate the fact that they don't have a 10 key pad.

I also hate that you can't upgrade video or sound cards, and usually just the RAM.

Hmm...

I guess I hate Laptops.

But I LOVE PDA's...
