I work in the Tool & Die trade.
I work with in tolerances of 0.0005" (of an inch)
For the last year I was in the grinding dept. which is within .0005"
But now I am in the milling dept. and it is alot easier (in a way) I am allowed to be within
0.020" (most of the time, gotta love imperial!!!) - metric sucks ass!!!
I make automotive dies.
The Die I am currently working on is some sort of a heat shield (not sure which type though).
Last die I milled was for a dodge truck muffler baffle .
Yah, I know my sh!t when it come to tools. believe it!
I work on vertical Mills, lathes, surface grinders(dry and wet), various hand tools.
and thats just in a metal shop, I also have experience with Jointers, wood planes, Vertical sanders, and various hand tools for wood working as well.
The Tool & Die trade is a lotta fun! LOL
Very stressful though.
10 points for anyone who knows what a "Sine Vise" is!! , hehe tongue.gif

I own the business I work for. Posterity Visual Productions. It is a party entertainment company specialising in video karoke, mock commercials, sports play by play, and talk shows. Recently I made the move to DVDs as everyone who gets infront of my camera gets to take one home of them making a compleat and total fool of themselves.
When I am not doing that, I am a Union Stage Hand in Atlantic City, recently started working at the Borgata

tool and die trade is awesome. i love working on mills and lathes. took it all thru high school and a lil in college. .0005" is crazy tolerance.. i had a job in tool and die for a couple weeks, absolutely loved it, but it was pretty stressful, but im more of a desk and a computer guy.
0.020" is easy.. especially with a good grade mill... what you guys running over there?

I'm making my way through college, so I have no fancy job title.
I work for Wawa (those in NJ/PA know what that is). I used to work for Best Buy for a year and a half up until February. I also am about to start a second job as a graphic designer/lister for a company in town that sells stuff on ebay.

i currently work in a paper mill. my job as of NOW is on the "packing line." i watch pallets of paperboard come down a conveyer. if it has upcurl, i turn it upside down to it has down curl (but too much down curl is bad.) then i "shake it" if its not straight. then, i tag it. then wrap it (in plastic) and thats it...
it pays almost $15/hour. it's fvckin CAKE work. i just started.
i work a swing shift, which for the most part sucks. right now its 12 days on, then 2 days off. pretty soot we're switching to 6 days on, 2 days off...
paper mills are easy money. i suggest everyone do it

WaWa is great Toxic. Dont know what I would do without them smile.gif . I am going to school also didnt even think about that. Working 40+ hours as a Network Engineer (Stressful as hell) and going to college. I am taking 3 classes each semister. I also do computer jobs on the side. Make some damn good money on the side but with the full time job, school, and the side jobs I have little time for anything else 02.gif
