That's right, they said when I got out of the Army that it would take about a year to finish my claim, but I got the paperwork today. As of today, I am officially a Disabled Veteran. %50 disabled. I get some good stuff for that, about $1000 a month, for life, tax free, free medical care for all my aches and pains, free schooling for 3 years, lots of stuff. I have to wait till I pay back my seperation pay, but since I get backpay to the 1st of January, I should start getting my funds in a month or 2.

All this on the same day I got my tax check back and bought my bodykit. I'm a happy guy.

I would give it all back if my body wasn't a wreck, but hey, at least they are makin up for it now eh?

#'s...

9 Items Claimed

8 Items awarded

1 Item 30%, 4 items 10%

70% total for disability, but combined for pay, %50.

The good thing is I get medical care for all of them, even the 0% ones, as long as they are connected, and all of mine are.

Well, I had several medical issues, and since they happened during or were caused by my military service, I get disability.

A few of the major ones...

1. Reconstructive Knee Surgury, ACL/MMC repair

2. Sebborheic Dermatitis. %40 for that one. Alone

3. Moderate Obstructive Sleep Apnea

4. L2 Degrading Disks

5. Plantar Fasciatius

It's really good. Best thing is, it'll only get bigger as time goes on.

do not look all your gift horses too carefully there, Redz. My Father is 100% disabled from the Military (two artificial hips will do that to you) and I can remember a Lot of years when I was growing up when we had NO money coming in from the government. It seemed that everytime there was a change in administration.. we would get kicked off of the program and it would take six months to a year to get back on...

then there was the time my Father tried to go to college... we got kicked off after a year because they said "if he was well enough to go to school, he could go to work" hello.. my Father barely had a highschool education and was trained as a Marine Mechanic (was cheif engineer aboard the ship he was on) and with his hips.. he needed a desk job... Also, any money he made beyond what the government gave him.. they would take away from the government funds.. it was ugly.. very ugly..

Nope.

I wish.

It'd rule if I did. No more dents.
