This CAI and this one are exactly the same, an AEM clone, the best kind. Get it!!

This strut bar is pretty good unless you want to shell out the ~$70 for a better one from EvoFusion.

I wouldn't worry about buying a strut-bar just yet. Better to buy something you'll notice, I reckon.

I'd buy a CAI & muffler first.

Get an AEM knockoff for now. Something cheap & cheerful like this This'll do the job just fine. That's $38.

Get something like this for your muffler basic muffler. That's another $45.

If you have $110, you should have just enough left to have the muffler fitted.

The next thing I'd invest in would be a set of lowering springs. Then maybe save up enough for the rest of your exhaust system (header, cat-back piping, etc...). Then I'd consider things like a short-shifter, BBTB (you can bore your IM yourself) & maybe a 1.8L intake cam. Rims after that, maybe.

The strut-brace looks nice when you're looking at your engine bay but otherwise you won't really be able to tell it's there. I'd get a chunkier rear sway-bay before worrying about the strut-brace. You'll notice a far greater improvement in handling with that then you ever will with the front brace.

Just my .02 fing02.gif

EDIT*: Before any of that, buy a few paint spray-cans & sort that hood of yours out. Even a crappy job will look a 100x better. Either flat or gloss black.

I definitely noticed a change with my strut bar installed.

Do the 1.8L cam and ECU too, ($80 and $30ish), you'll definitely feel those.

So... I guess my "How to Search" DIY wasn't read much, but oh well. First off dude, start breaking up sentences and paragraphs a little better, capitalize things correctly, and for gods sake stop using words like "cuzz". Honestly, cause is one more letter than that, don't make yourself look like a dumbass...

Anyways, onto what you can do for cheap.

1. Go to a local body shop and get a quart of paint mixed to match your car and spray your hood. I'm not trying to be mean, but it looks horrible.
2. Take off those horrid chrome door edges. That ones free.
3. Get some fiberglass and fix up whatever that is on your front bumper and respray that too.
4. Maybe get some paint from AutoZone and paint your rims. You'd be surprised what they can look like when you are done. I did that to my stockers as well and I loved them until I got new ones.
5. Get an eBay CAI, the AEM style. You can pick them up cheap, they just don't have the AEM decal. The reason people buy AEM (I did) is because it helps companies give us aftermarket support.

alright no more hood talk i am going to paint it in the spring becuase im not sure if i want to buy a cf one. door chrome crap is way gone. i do want to paint my rims also but theres never enough time that i have to not drive the car. ive herd a lot about the 1.8 swap thing.. what is it and what does it do, same with the new ecu? i already have a g ready exhaust and if it fits like i hope it will that will be going on right after the cai. im not going to lower my car bacause of the roads out here, it would just kill it. i am only looking to get things here or other sites. i have other money i am saving/spending for the things like hood paint/rims paint.

The GREDDY exhausts sound good on certain cars, I've never heard one on a tib though. You really need to start searching man, ALL of this has been covered before. The 1.8l intake cam swap is very easy, there is about 3 DIY's out there on how to do it. The advantages are slightly more power. From what I have heard from people, namely RED, it is the best power to money mod for a beta 2.0. The ECU is a waste of money and time. I did it and noticed nothing except 50 dollars missing from my checking account. Don't waste your time.

Some cheap mods you should look for are a 1.8 cam, knockoff intake, and maybe an OBX header. You can get a set of OBX pulleys for like 70$ on ebay, the intakes go for like 20-40, ABQElantra is selling a few cams right now for like 75$ I think, maybe more, its in the classifieds section. You can sometimes get OBX headers for REAL cheap. I got mine for 80 shipped, and my buddy got his for 60 shipped. You car sounds buzzy from them, but you want the power, right?
