likeyoumeanit- The belts are new, just replaced in May I think...

Majik- Y'know, that sounds like a good idea. I just may have to try that.

thats odd, i almost never have to tighten mine? are you sure you're locking everything up after you tighten them?

Yes to the alternator but there's no locking the power steering pump, and I don't want to risk stripping the threads.

wouldn't hurt to look around to different places that give free analysis on battery or alternators as well. Even more so since you said you have to rev to get the electric to work correctly.
