Help Please
heres my problem. today i was workin on the tib and while i was workin on it i was listening to my new lamb of god CD, i lost track of time and turns out i was listening to music for 4 hours running off my car battery, it wouldnt turn over. so i grab an old battery and toss it in cuz i needed to go pick my girlfreind up from work. well in the process i wasnt thinking and put negative on first then the positive and it sparked like crazy and almost welded itself to the post.
now im charging the old bettery, i charged it for 3 hours and it wouldnt even start to crank, does anyone know what i coulda screwed up???

Ok any circuits that run on a switch should be fine. That means lights ignition, starter should be fine as long as you didn't try to start it like that.
Any circuits that are always on when the battery is connected wont be so lucky. First check the fusible links in the fuse box to see if some burnt out. Hopefully they did, because thats what they are for. Not for guarding against reverse polarity, but against too much electricity. Replace those, put a good battery in, and connect the wires properly. Try to start it and hope for the best.
Whenever you have the battery cables off, no matter how much of a hurry you are in, Make sure you are connecting the right cables to the correct terminal...

Sounds like you have another problem at hand. Connecting the negative and then the postive won't make that much of a difference. Check all fuses and fusable links for blown connections.
well i found out my slow blow fuse went out, went to hyundai buaght one it started up with a charge from my dads ford. but now i dont have radio and a taillights out
i checked the fuse for my radio and its fine.
