I bought a spoiler off ebay from a junkyard in Canada. They quoted 3-4 week delivery as the typical timeframe. Well, that came up with no spoiler in my possession. I filed an ebay dispute and the seller responded quickly and kindly, saying they would ship another right away. Another 3 weeks have passed, along with the 45 day Ebay dispute deadline. I have a chain of emails proving my case, but I fear that Ebay is not going to cover me due to their rules. Luckily it was only $78. If I get nothing, then I'll just have to take it as a lesson learned.
Has anyone else run into a problem like this?

From what I've read, it doesn't matter after 45 days. The buyer protection runs out. That is a stupid policy since most overseas items take almost that long to get to you. By the time you get the item and find out it is incorrect, there is no recourse other than immediately filing for a full refund and posting a negative review. If you wait for the seller to ship you another, the 45 days will have long expired. You're taking a chance from that point on.
Just an FYI, the people who sold me the spoiler is:
cdnautoparts

I'm now fighting another battle with j-f-customs for a shift boot. He sent me one, only it was for an RD2 even though I clearly asked for an RD1 boot. In the payment, he asked about my car and I told him the year and that it had a square base. He screwed up, even though it was spelled out for him.
Later, he said he shipped the replacement back on 2/28, but I haven't received it yet. Again, waiting for an oversees shipment, so 45 days has come and gone.

I recommend staying away from these people.
Learn from my mistake! Even if they are cooperating, file for the refund and give a bad review!!! If they come through, then you can retract it and pay them back.

That's some serious bullshit
But if you're looking for a shift boot I am working on a set made out of sewable carbon fiber. Not going to thread jack, just PM if you'd like info and swatches.

If you buy from ebay and don't want to lose your money, always buy from a seller in your country with a good feedback rating (>99.5% for more than a few months of transactions).
And if you don't get your sh*t, file a dispute. ALWAYS. File it and see it through to resolution through ebay. Don't ever cancel a dispute without a refund or your purchased item in-hand. If your seller says give them more time, tell them to give you your item or give you a full refund. Let the slowass seller deal with a dispute instead of losing your money. Assuming your ship-to address on file is correct, once you pay up, it's not your fault if you don't get your parts so you shouldn't be out your money and have nothing to show for it.

Well, Paypal just resolved my dispute with J-F-Customs in my favor.
Again, don't do business with this guy.

It is still to be seen whether the funds could be taken from his account. I think I've run into that before. But, this guy sells a ton of sh*t, so I should be ok unless he decides to close his account over a $30 shift boot. lol
I just filed another claim against the Canadian junkyard company for the Turbulence spoiler. She's a whole different story. She sounds real nice through emails and kept constant contact for 3 months! Yet, nothing ever got sent and she kept dodging my requests for a shipping receipt. Why even both communicating at all if you intend on screwing the customer? Very strange experience.
It's much easier to deal with Ebay dispute since you also have the right to add a negative review on top of getting your money back. But, at least Paypal will let you go 180 days.

I contacted a couple other wrecking services in Canadanada about shipping parts to the US. It seems as though they are all having problems getting parts through US customs. I believe this is in particular due to using USPS and not Fedex, DHL, etc. You can fly parts over from other continents in 3 days, but you can't drive a parts across the US/Canada border!

Well, Paypal came through on both cases!
And on top of it, I'm assuming due to the Aus. exchange rate, I somehow ended up with a few dollars more on the actual purchase and a few cents on exchange rate fee.
I didn't have to send Paypal anything except explain my side of the story. I'm assuming since the sellers couldn't prove delivery with tracking, they lose by default.
