Just to warn you guys. Don't expect too much. The "race" gameplay is good, but the damn menu system sux rocks. The "non-race" gameplay really, really sux.

It has the usual bugs.
Mis reporting HP/Torque
Mis reported weight/wrong format (KG vs Pounds)

There are also several cars which GT4 doesn't know if it is FF, FR, 4WD, or RR. One example is the Deloran, GT4 doesn't know WHAT classification to put it in, so you can't race it in any of the "engine/drivetrain layout" races.

There are also some "special" cars that you can't race. The Nike car is a great example. It's a cool looking car, with supposedly 250 HP, 750 KG, and 8 gears...but it can barely break 150 MPH?????, For some damn reason you can't race it in any of the "normal" races, because it is a 'special' car???

So far, the game has been more frustration than fun.

I preordered my copy from Col. House. Should be here in the next couple of days.

To elaborate on Randoms post, there is also a "01 Coupe" listed,
Of course they Fvc**d that one up. Its a damn GK.

But, i wonder if the "NIKE" car is similar to the Suzuki that was in GT3........

It may all be in the settings, for that car at least. I got mine up to (and OVER) 1k mph in GT3.

How do you get the Suzuki?? Only thing I have that goes close to theat is the Escudo Pikes Peak Version, it hits like 340 or something.

As for GT4 I'm gonna rent it first I think, I dunno I still haven't completed GT3! LOL

The escudo will lift the front end off the ground and keep accelerating if you set it up properly. I'll check the settings tomorrow and PM them to ya.

Best game ever on console.

Maybe I'm not a nit-picker like Random, but I really enjoy this game.

The Driving Force 2 Wheel makes it a totally different game too.

Fantastic, well worth the wait from Sony.

I played it for 4 minutes today. Then went back to Mercenaries.

Now THAT is a driving game!!

LOL

I dunno, it looks nice, but other than that, GT4, much like the PS2, sucks.

I'd take BUrnout 3 any day over it.

i got it tuesday, and i was really dissapointed in it until about yesterday. i mean, the menu does suck, in fact, it blows monkey nuts. the racing sucked at first, then i actually took the time to learn it and practice it, and all is gravy right now. however, it is way too much like gt3, they could have changed it, somehow, someway.

haven't played it yet but from what I've heard it's just like all the other with more cars (lots more). I was hoping they would add some new types of racing into it, like AutoX...real rally racing. Are there any new locations (tracks) in the game? I was surprised at how accurate the Seattle Circuit was in GT2 ( I live in Seattle. Al the hills were in the perfect spot as well as the building and such. Crazy. Graphics any better than GT3? and Project Gotham?
