^ Cheers.

He's not a toy breed though. He's meant to be a Maltese X std. Poodle. He weighs about 9.5kg, so he's a decent size. These dogs (similar to the popular "Spoodles", "Cavoodles", "Groodles", etc...) are said to be fairly healthy, with no real inherent issues other than little things like sensitive skin & susceptibility to ear infections.

Anyway, the surgery went well & he's back at home now. We should get the results from the histology within the next 3-5 days. Stitches come out in 10 days.

He looks all funny with his shaved chin & a shaved bit on his front left leg... from where they had a tube inserted into his vein, I'm guessing.

Ah, my mistake. I couldn't really tell how small he was. Yeah in that case it's most skin, ear, and paw conditions. Their hair catches a lot of bacteria, so it's very important to keep their ears, mouths, and paws clean. I hope the little guy is doing well! Let us know the results of the histology tests. I actually get to take a class on histology next semester. smile.gif

Just a quick update...

The Vet called yesterday arvo with Humphrey's test results & he's all clear.

It seems the lump started off as a histio-cytoma (benign tumor) & somehow developped into a badly infected wart of some sort which was why it was growing so rapidly.

Anyway, they got it all & he is going in later today to have his stitches removed fing02.gif
