This is the saddest, yet most beautiful, part of the fishing day for me. Sad only because my fishing day is over.

 

Nah, that's when the night fishing starts, my favorite kind!

 

Yeah. Night fishing can be fun, but our boat isn't up to snuff for night fishing.

My buddies and I are looking into taking a charter out next fall for some Muskie fishing.

 

I like catfishing around a fire from the bank at night.

 

They are fun to catch. Strong fish, especially when you hook into a bigger one.

 

Alright, so Labor Day was an awesome fishing day this year. Went out on a lake that supposedly stocked Northern Pike in it 12 years ago.I had never seen or heard of one coming out so I called BS on the situation. Then, around 4:30 Monday afternoon, this happened:





Holy crap! What a fight......what a fish!

Thanks man! Gotta get warmed up for the Muskie trip next month somehow. That was certainly a start!

 

I gotta go back onto the ocean sometime soon.
