Default Fishing=free beer!

This is the story. My best friend and I head out on a new pond to see if we can't pull out a few bass. We get there, a few hits in the first 15-20 minutes, then my biggest bass for today:

Right after this, this yellow Lab comes to the waters edge and jumps in. This lady is in her yard saying, "He likes fishing!"

Yeah! So much so that he tried to eat every lure that was hanging off the end of our poles! After many near misses with hooking this ladies dog she's like, "can you paddle in so he'll get out?" We're thinking no sweat. As I paddle the boat to her dock, she disappears, and i'm like, whatever. Comes back out and I can't make it out from the distance, but carrying something. Strolls up to the dock like a busted St. Paulie Girl holding 2 ice cold Sam Adams and hands them to us and gives us a thank you.

We will return to this pond in the future, lol. I love fishing

Haha, nice!

Nice bass too. I've never been much of a bass fisherman. I can't get them to bite. I stick to trout, salmon, catfish, and ocean fishing now pretty much.

Don't you have Steelhead out your way too?

I've always enjoyed bass and trout fishing. We do a fair bit of Northern Pike fishing as well. Any time out on the water is a good time, no matter what we're after.

Yeah, I've caught a few steelhead out here. I've seen some pike snorkeling before but never caught one.

I mostly fish for trout because I like crawling into small overgrown streams where nobody else even bothers going.

So the dog brought you beer? Sweet!

I used to be big into fishing and the biggest bass I caught was 16lb. Havent been fishing in a few years because of school and work.

Damn dude! 16 lbs is no joke!

I'm right there with you on the secret stream spots. People around here are way to lazy to climb into the honey holes for some nice natives.

I know you won't believe this...but I caught that huge bass with this toy that came with an old spiderman action figure. It was made of some sort of plastic jelly and it looked like and octopus. I guess it was supposed to be the symbiote(?) that took over venoms body. It was crazy.

Thought I'd update this thread a bit. Me and the free beer lady are having an affair, lol. JK.

Got a few more pics from this season:

And the one Northern Pike I was able to hook into last Tuesday. A bit small, but a good fight:

Nice fish. I haven't gotten to go out fishing even once this summer. It sucks. I've been busy.
