So I finally took my baby girl into the dealer. I've been walking by the service department every time I go in for an oil filter, and they always ask if I want an inspection, so finally I broke down and took em' up on it. Apparently it had a few recalls anyways.

The good was that I got my cracked exhaust manifold replaced for free, and they replaced those damn seatbelts that jammed every single time you tried to pull on them.

The bad was that they didn't ask for authorization before they started the work, even though I told them I only had about an hour's worth of time (they told me it would take an hour). I ended up being there two and a half hours and missing my first class of the morning. (balls.)

I was curious as to what their reaction would have been to the auto-manual swap, but I'm not sure they noticed.

Anyone else taken theirs to the dealer? What sorts of reactions do you usually get?

Yes red, and every morning involves an oral report.

Hahahahah!!!! Perfect.

It's a good thing they did the work, and that they had the parts there, that's somewhat rare from my experience.

They SHOULD have let you have a free rental for the day if they took longer than they said.

not to hijack the thread, but anyone know if you can get them to just give you a new set of seatbelts? Mine do that too and I would like to get them replaced, but the dealership isnt touching my car.

I doubt they'd do it. They might have to send the original seatbelts back as proof to get reimbursed for warranty costs performed.

I'm guessing that's an elective course you chose to take... greddy2.gif
