I just didn't want to give tanc a false sense of security. If the horror movies he downloads are protected by copyrights, he would be doing something illegal. BitTorrent and iMesh and etc. are all legal to USE, but the content you download using these programs is NOT always legal. K? smile.gif

IRC means more work, or rather working knowledge, but it's easy to stay anonymous and much easier to find less popular material. With Bittorrent, make sure you use a safepeer plugin. I recommend Azureus for a client. It's more difficult to be anon with torrents, and if even if you are it usually means much longer download times. And old horror movies will be difficult to get as torrents.

I'm currently downloading several movies as torrents which I actually own on DVD. Should be perfectly legal since I own them and just want a copy on my media box, but I'd rather not have to prove that in court.

I find it interesting that it's faster for me to download a 1.4GB .avi then it is to rip a DVD I own. And a lot less work.
