I'm looking into downloading some old horror movies. I've been around town, searched every blockbuster and no one has anything I need. I was told to just download them off the net but I'm not sure what program to use. What's good with that? I need this for slides at work.

i wouldnt use anything but bit torrent. its the fastest biggest p2p network right now. u start by getting a bit torrent client,
http://www.tibbit.org/forum/dload.php?acti...5a722417ea175cb
then u go to a torrent web site. a couple of them include:
google the movie name and add torrent at the end. all those work.
what every program u use make sure u could get it legit first. and dont forget to open ur ports(if u have a router). 6881-6999 for bit torrent. opening the ports lets u dl at ur max speeds.
good luck. just make sure u couldnt find it else where first.
btw all the programs mentioned above have their strengths. however bit torrent is the best option for large downloads at good speeds. also the programs mentioned above are have all peaked with users and half way died. bit torrent still has thousands of shares on the good downloads.

yeah try bittorrent from over at tibbit. you can find almost anything. one problem, sometimes you download IFO files which you need a DVD player on your computer to run.
torrent downloads are 100% legal too. hail.gif

on topic: bit torrent is the one to use, however I would also run something like peer guardian 2 (free) to block bad and eh...umm..."legal-minded" IP addresses.

torrents ARE 100% legal to use. what isnt legal is what u put in those torrents sometimes. there are plenty of legal torrents, backups and the such. torrents arent illegal its the way the content of some torrents are used. i thought that was common sense.
