i think they are digging their own hole here
but to think about it, it's just marketing and they have done their reseach... i mean look c'mon, only the original owner??? (people nowadays go through different cars just like that and that warrany will be valid for 5 years the most since the orignal owner sold the vehicle for another one) and the restrictions...

the radio ads clearly say LIMITED lifetime powertrain warranty. I'd like to know what the limits are. Actually, I really don't care as I won't be buying a Dodge... but it's sketchy and seems like a marketing ploy to get people interested and come into the dealerships.
Kiss my ass Dodge.
I want my Charger to have the Lifetime warranty! I bought mine last year! mad.gif
But it's kinda cool. I'm just waitng for the Challenger. smile.gif
Oh, and as far as warranty crap goes.... Aftermarket parts only void warranties if they are proven to be the cause of the failure. Like, they can't blame you having an intake for a transmission failure.
Look at how modified my car is... and Hyundai Replaced the motor and tranny under warranty at 65k.

Well I think it is a good idea because No one really keeps there cars that long besides farmers lol, it does exclude some model most likely all the srt's and special edtions such as the daytona ram. I dont think the dodge challenger will be covered by it.. offtopic.gif I cant wait to get one of these offtopic.gif .... How I think they will make there money since it is power train which is pretty much motor and tranny, say your engine blows they will make you get all new oem parts on that new engine, such as water pump, power steering pump, starter, distributer ect ect. They will mark all that up 200 percent to cover costs...But I htink they can put a positive twist on this saying this will be the last car you will buy because of the warrenty in which it will help the envirorment which seems to be the big thing now.

Due to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act dealers have to prove that your mod caused or contributed significantly to the failure. This does not mean that they have to decide that they think your modifications contributed to the engine failure, they have to prove it. That doesn't mean that the dealer won't try to claim they don't have to fix it, it means that if you took it to court they would lose. 90% of the people they tell that their repair isn't covered just eat the repair bill. Usually a call to Hyundai corporate customer service will take care of the problem if talking to the service manager won't.
Or do what I did...find a better dealer. Someone who is glad to see you coming in with your mods and enthusiasm towards Hyundai. Someone not interested in challenging you for enjoying their product. It's well worth the extra 20 miles for me. Our local Hyundai dealer won't touch my car ever again.
