Do You Smoke Cigarettes?
I just quit cold turkey about 7 months ago now after smoking for a little over 6 years. I smoke cigars on occasion when I drink now but even that's uncommon now. I like not smoking anymore...I don't stink, I can breathe, food tastes better, no more daily phlegm hacking in the morning, an extra like 50 dollars in my pocket a week...wish I never started, I'd prolly be rich! haha

I hate cigarettes. I dislike being around smokers.
ditto, I don't hate the smell but I hate that smokers don't care that they are messing up my endurance
I don't smoke at the moment ,but If it wasn't so hard to quit for this long I'd be lighting up today! I haven't lit up since feb 1 2005 . but I dream about It all the time. I had been smoking for 10 years and I have smoked up to 5 packs a day (I wouldn't have noticed but you kind a remember when you have to open a fresh pack the packaging is a real itch to get open while having to drive something with 18 wheels) . I could smoke an unfiltered cig in less than a minute(with asthma, I guess the nicotine has made me nieve). when I quit trucking I kicked it down to 1/2 a pack a day. this made it really hard It to quit wasn't costing me much and it was easily to keep a level head. Now I have times where I feel Like I'm going nuts. I still go to the bars and get drunk out of my wits and if it wasn't for the people around me I might have gone back by now. Beings That my life sucks in this pit of an area i call home I can not seem to live with out one or the other .... oh And I drink alot of coffee too or pop. Its not something that you can quit because other people want you too you gotta want to do it!
and raising the prices don't help because I'd be living out of a cardboard box smoking half a carton a day coulfing my lungs out. heck I'd be selling crack just to get the cigs then. or stealing them.
If our society didn't have to worry about money with two people working and never being home to raise there kids. we probably wouldn't have underage smoking! cigarritte prices doesn't do anything for that!! hell I didn't buy cigs when I was young I stole them or paid some bum like 50 dollars for a carton( cartons cost under 20 back then) give him a 20 he would come out with the cart 30 tip. he'd buy his boos and be happy. lowering the drink age would probably help. I know people who got started just because they could it was a newly given right to lit up or something... My original reason was peer pressure. dare didn't do a damn thing for me when a friend of mine gave a cigarette to light up. It was done 10 years later I have spent probably around $10,000 dollars. it doesn't seem like much until you start adding it up. Now this bs about not smoking in public makes want to buy a pack just to light the whole thing up and blow it in peoples faces thats a form of discrimination So is the segregation but at least I still got to light up. This crap ticked me off and made it even harder to quit smoking. Maybe i'm nuts but maybe I can quit for good now!
