Default Dan Rather's last hurrah

Like him or hate him, tonight is Dan Rather's last telecast with CBS's evening news. I'm not partial towards him one way or the other, but he's been around so long it's hard to believe he's stepping down. He's been newscasting longer then some of you have been alive as he's been at it for 24yrs. I remember when Walter Croncrite (however you spell his last name)had his last telecast when I was a kid and realized that it was the end of an era as it will be when Dan leaves tonight. Any thoughts or comments?

Phooey. He tried to mess up my man The Bushmeister's Presidency. I dun like him. tongue.gif

Odd how they manage to stick around for 25 years... guess people gradually associate CBS = Dan Rather.

Yeah, he is the one that messed it up...Anyway, I can't believe that CBS has kept him around that long, he was always in third behind the true newscasters.

Ehh, no hard feelings either way, I'm glad he's gone though. I'm tired of folks getting their personal feelings in the way of the NEWS.

Or trying to make it themselves. I'm just glad he owned himself.

That is one of the best quotes I have seen in a LONG time!

yeah he has had way to many false stories in his career. I'm glad he's gone. When he announced that Bush won the election, i really thought he was going to kill hisself. he didn't want to ever say bush is president again.
