not sure if it's the same on the rd2's but you "arm" it with the button on the dash. then when you actually want to cruise, you hit the button at the tip of your atari joystick. that would make you cruise. on mine there is also an "acceleration option" you slide that and hold it till you reach your desired speed. to end the cruising hit the brake or clutch. your car didn't come w/ an owner's manual i take it? cause it'd be in there.

on my auto you press cruise on the dash. then you press set acc in gear and take your foot off the pedal. you can use the lever to drive. you can literally drive without your feet!

Assuming you have a manual transmission...
If you're a "left foot resting on the clutch" kind of driver, you might have to take your foot off to use the cruise. I know a lot of people drive like that, especially city driving (i'm guilty). In my tib, if I have even the slightest bit of pressure on the clutch, the cruise is disabled/won't engage.

If you were playing with it before and couldn't get it to work, that -might- be why. smile.gif
Also, I think you have to be going ~30 km/h or faster, or it won't engage.

yeah, im guilty of that. just how i was tought to drive. when braking, always have the clutch in.

not practical for racing that would require down shifting, but its good for normal everyday driving.

Would be best to break that habit, resting the foot on the clutch or unecessary use of it wears it down ALOT faster.

The dead pedal is there for a reason. WTF teaches folks to drive like that?
