wink.gif There's a classified set of requirements to get me really worked up. You failed to meet them.
This is a guy who would be turned out of the worker's comp. office with nothing, in a just world. In some countries, he would have been beaten to death on the spot by passers-by or killed later by the victims' family members as a matter of course. As it is, he's going to get paid (more) because the State made a key concession two years ago. If they had said back then 'this guy was violating policy and gets bubkis' then he would be S.O.L. like we all want him to be.
Losers in the whole affair: the People of Illinois who had to pay lawyers for BOTH sides, plus his salary, and now plus workers comp, plus the damages to the family.
