It's a sad day when this type of news does not suprise me, seems we have some serious undesirables in the military. Or it was part of a bigger scheme, kill innocents in afghan to help out the terrorist recruitment in the area so we can keep are fake ass justifications for wars going?

Afghanistan is a lost cause because we don't have a cause. Off the top of your head, why are we there? When our military men go to fight and hopefully-not die, they should have an objective. When X happens we are done and we go home. Our Soldiers and Marines are not UN Peacekeepers.
IF we had an objective clearly stated
AND IF we had political will to carry out that objective
THEN it would not be a lost cause. As it is, it is hard to convince me we are not pouring money and blood down a rathole to profit the military-industrial complex.

If you think that it's ridiculous that American troops are in Afghanistan? Try and justify why -Australian- troops are supporting the cause. And belgian and german and british and french and and and and

From our lovely prime minister:
Mr Speaker, Australia has two vital national interests in Afghanistan.
One: to make sure that Afghanistan never again becomes a safe haven for terrorists, a place where attacks on us and our allies begin.
Two: to stand firmly by our Alliance commitment to the United States, formally invoked following the attacks on New York and Washington in 2001.
