Ok guys so my parents said that they were only going to get me something this year that would be effective towards my future, my little brother is getting $350 worth of stuff so they said I had the same amount. I told them that I wanted tools lol, SO if you guys (and girls) could post up some useful tools that you have used over time and would never part with, brand, ect...

i don't know any good companies, but a good wratchet set from sears is great. get one that comes with everything. get a whole toolbox with everything to fix anything.

good magnetic screwdriver set, wire cutting tool, a circular saw with metal grinding/sanding blades (just be careful). welding tool only if you make a damn business out of it!

i can't think of anything else. i did get a hyraulic lift tool for lifting up my car. it beats the scissor lift.

Like HKC said, from sears Craftsman are the best for the price that I've seen so far, snap-on are REALLY nice but kind of unpractical in most cases.

I think they actually have a so many piece tool kit with a tool box for 350 there!

I have this exact set, its nice and I love it. Craftsman is defiantly great for the money and if something breaks you just bring it back to sears and they give you a new one!

you dont even need the whole $350 for a decent set from sears either. i think theres a set at about $150 that is decent.

Buy that set, and if you can, this (on sale days):
http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_009H0312000B?

My GF bought me that exact one which was on sale for $279. It's one of their larger tanks and comes with the $100 set of tools for free.
You have to catch it on those rare sale days like during Thanksgiving and Christmas time. But it always goes for $279 for all of it.

Believe me, many people say it's a luxury, but you don't know how much better you feel after saving hours of time and energy using it. I'm not nearly as tired after doing long projects on cars.
-The impact wrench is awesome when changing/removing tires. *Blip* *Blip* *Blip* *Blip* Done!
-You don't need to spend $0.50 airing up your tires.
-The air attachment acts like a yard blower. Also dries your car without using a rag. lol
-Removes crank pulley bolts easily. wink1.gif

Now that I have it, I couldn't live without it.

i have THIS set... tools i LOVE it.. easy to carry around, securly closing drawers, tons of diff tools.

if these are tools for your car i would also STRONGLY recommend an air compressor and the following racheting open end wrenchs: 12mm, 14mm, 17mm at least.
