Ok, my wife has a pink Motorola Razr that is a pre-pay that uses the Verizon cards (Inpulse, I believe, the $15/$30 cards they carry every where).
Now, she wants a LG White Chocolate phone, but, you can't buy them as pre-pay.
You can buy Chocolate phones, as pre-pay, but for some stupid reason, only the dark blue, light blue, and black ones. If you know where I can get a white one prepaid.......TELL ME!!!!!!
My question is, the sims card, or chip, or whatever it is, can that be taken out of her Razr, and be put into the White Chocolate phone, to make it the prepay? She really, really wants one of these phones, but I don't know if thats an option. I don't want to buy one and then be screwed if she can't use it.
I also hear something about the "unlocked/locked" phones, from what I read, thats what I need, is an "unlocked" one.
So, tell me what I need to do please!!!!!
Thanks guys

Redz, I've looked at sites like that, I just ain't got the time to find what I am needing. Working too damn much, 60-70+ hours a week. I have searched when I get home from work in the mornings, but my brain just don't work well after 12 hours of labor.
All I know is that by now probablly, it's too late to order in time to get here by Christmas.

Unless someone here knows right out, you are out of luck asking here, as I highly doubt anyone else is going to take the time to research it for you. I posted that so you can post your question there, you'll have a much better chance of getting an answer then here.

WTF do you think everyone else just sits at home with their thumb up their ass all day?
Haha, yeah, what you need is an unlocked phone. You can go to pretty much any online store and buy unlocked phones (tigerdirect, ebay, etc). Just make sure it's compatible for the network you're using... After a quick check, Verizon uses CDMA, so you have to buy a phone that is compatible with CDMA networks, NOT GSM networks. Other than that, just buy the phone and then swap the sim cards and you're good to go.
Quite honestly I would never buy a "Pre-Programmed" phone from a service provider. They lock alot of the built in features so that they can make you pay for them instead. For example, I know up here some of the phones come locked so you can't make songs into ringtones on your phone, so that the provider can make you pay to download them at 1.99 per ringtune instead. Buy an unlocked phone, and you can crop a song into a ringtune. With Motorola you will probably get their software in the package you buy, and this software contains "Motorola phone tools", a package that lets you make ringtunes, and a bunch more stuff to manage your phone.
You can also buy a phone and have it unlocked, which normally involves sending your phone out to a company and paying 20$ for their services, basically hooking it up to a computer and flashing it with OEM firmware instead of the service providers firmware.
I also work 70 hour weeks.

If im not mistaken to use Verizons service you need a verizon phone.
Most if not all CDMA phones do not have sim cards like the GSM carriers. (Sprint and Verizon = CDMA, tmobile att = GSM). This being that CDMA is really only used in the US and not over seas, the use GSM and edge.
You could always ask Verizon if its possible to make any of there phones a prepaid phone.

Well TibFreak, make sure that both your current phone and new phone both use SIM cards otherwise it's pointless, I think. Unless you can register the phone itself to verizon prepaid...
Good luck.
Good luck.
