I prefer to keep it RD, if anyone asks "Research and Development" sounds like a good answer. It is no problem to change the name though. I know some people on HP were "laughing" that we have the wrong name, big frickin deal. laugh.gif

oh and they can laugh all they want, we can laugh too, b/c whoever posted the codes missed a letter. only says "c" when, according to them, it should say "RC" :LOL

It's still built on the RD chassis, in KOREA it's referred to as the RD. They prolly changed it here so folks didn't get confused that 2 different cars had the same code.
Pull off some of your dash parts and stuff, you'll see RD COUPE stamped everywhere.

As most of us don't want to admit it, Yes, our tibs are based off the Elantra (96) ALOT of our component will fit onto the Elantras (96-00) It's name was the RD, and we are the Coupe version. Axles, mounts, calipers,...etc. ALOT OF THE SAME COMPONENTS!!! TRUST ME ON THIS ONE!
Many a time I have thought of getting a sleeper Elantra,... but I like the styling of my RD COUPE better!
Anyway, like the our generation Elantra and Tibs, the newer Elantras (XD's) and newer Tibs (GK'S) are in the same boat! Most of the 3rd Gen owners don't want to know this, but yeah the GKs are based off the XD Chassis too.
But unlike the older gens I REALLY like the New XD's and have thought of trading in my RD for a new XD. Hell the Elantra GT's are lighter stock than the 4cyl GK's. YES LIGHTER!
Anyway we could argue this further,... but...

kayjai....that pic^^^, its funny but WRONG (kinda looks like REDZ ;-)). they deserve to feel good about themselves too, thats what the special olympics are all about. Im gonna send the JRR STFUF a really nasty message....or better yet send the pic to the special olympics and let them deal w/ it. evil.gif
