I bought a Pro with forza 2. So far its awesome. I'm going to play the season mode first then sign up on live. Then when I get bored of this I will buy COD4...

there is a huge difference when you play with component cable or hdmi on a high quality full HDTV.
i saw the difference on my ps3 with COD4 on my tv (samsung 52", LNT5271F).
to see the difference you have to play a game that is made for 1080p display and you wil notice a difference for sure

 

depending on what your willing to spend, i would go for the elite because of the mass hard drive space and the limited color. i got my 360 a year and 1/2 ago. the only problem i had so far was that it fell over and i had to get a new cd drive. besides that i have no problems. i got a nyko fan on the back in case it ever once to over heat. if your not willing to spend to much money then just buy the premium xbox 360 because you for sure want to have those HD cables and the hard drive. if you are just wanting to buy one of those 3 games i would go for Forza. thats the only game i bought because i just go out and rent the rest. i wouldn't buy halo 3 because if your not willing to pay for xbox live than its worthless. the game just by itself can be beaten within 3 or so days depending on how long you play. same kinda goes for call of duty 4. i've been playing forza for awhile and i always find it really fun just driving with the huge amount of different cars. now if your willing to go beyond those 3 games i would have to say buy either, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey (really long game still haven't beat it. 4 disks!), Assassins Creed (great game but can be beaten within a week or so), Oblivion, Viva Pinata (i know its a kid game, but its really fun and the pinatas look awesome in HD), and Saints Row. i know those are alot of games to choose from and my top would be Gears of War, Mass Effect, and Lost Odyssey. Mass Effect graphics are simple amazing and the story draws you in so much, Gears of War is simple an amazing shooter game with awesome graphics and a great story (you can also play co-op with is really fun), and Lost Odyssey is really long and is a really good RPG if you like those kinds of games. I would buy a second controller with whatever system and game your going to buy because whatever you choose your have someone else to join in the play.

summing it all up i would see about getting maybe a second game or buying a different game than the ones you said.

I bought a Pro, and so far its great even though it didn't save my profile...it saved it twice. Then third time I went to play it, it couldn't find it. If it happens again Im going to exchange it.

 

Just an update.
I returned the 360 to wal-mart yesterday and went to best buy to get the another one which I also got 2 free games with. The games are Ghost Recon 2 and Rainbow Six Vegas. I love this system and now I really want to get a better tv. But I need to find a job first.
