Best Man Speech
My brother is getting married at the end of September, and I am the best man at his wedding.
Now, this sounds like great fun and all....but there is one thing I am dreading - the speech! paranoid.gif
Usually public speaking doesn't really bother me, but at something important as a wedding, the thought of it just makes me nautious.
Have any of you done this, and have any pointers?

OMG, I don't ever want to do that. I hate public speaking. I don't even want to make the speach at my OWN wedding. poke.gif
Yeah, I will definitely write it out way before hand so I have some idea what I'm doing (though it's gauranteed I'll forget the majority of what I write).

watch some movies for some ideas lol make a joke or two, talk about how good she is for him, yada yada yada. let us know what you say
haha.gif True story!
really, its best to go at it unprepared. when you're standing up there, lookin at your brother and his new wife, the words should just flow out...
don't put TOO much thought into it. think of a couple things to say, and in a proper sequence... it should just all flow right out

I agree, sometimes the best speeches are those that are spontaneous. Be honest and throw a joke out there, helps to break up the tension.
