-1 Rep for Stocker.

Considering the jail time in SEVERAL states for carrying a concealed weapon ranges anywhere from 3-10yrs, I highly suggest you don't listen to this guy's advice.

I have a little bersa .380 that I like, if you want to go cheap. Ive thrown many rounds down range with it without issue. I really dont like the .380 round, but that vs someone in knife range it would do the trick. I have been messed with when I was running, but it was early in the run and the turd couldn't keep up.. LOL.

IF you are living in a place where going for a jog might get you knifed

AND you for some reason insist on jogging JUST there vs. taking a 5-mile car drive to a safer area or a gym or something sane

THEN maybe you should pack heat when you are jogging.

Personally, if I am running around in circles on my block I'm usually only carrying a knife. It seems pretty unlikely that a jogger with a knife is going to be stabbed once the knife comes out and the Goblins decide they want less of a struggle from their prey. Then again, the last many miles I put on my jogging shoes were on a treadmill a few steps from the Arsenal at my house and there's a pretty low risk of catching a knife in that circumstance!

I'm not saying you should pack heat against the law, I'm saying you should move to where you can legally carry. No wait, that's not it . . . . I'd rather sit in a jail cell than lie in a freezer, is all I'm saying. I won't SAY I've carried into places it was illegal, but I . . . uh, wait my lawyer is on the phone BRB

Edit: For the people who like to compare numbers vs. holding a thing in the gun store http://www.mouseguns.com/PocketAutoComparison.pdf

Edit #2: Hey wow inline displayed .pdf who knew!

As an added bonus they're all compared to the best answer, the S&W J Frame. B)

The Kel-Tec is sweet as long as your looking for a strictly "to carry" gun. Get it sighted in and leave it alone. If you are looking for a pistol you'd also like to shoot though, that one has issues with jamming on the discharge and I know more then one guy who has had to replace the slide springs because of it.

I think of pretty much ALL Kel-tek pistols as kit guns. They are the equivalent (in price, fit, finish, and reliability) of a Ruger without the finishing steps done by the manufacturer. You apply a couple/few hours doing a "fluff & buff" to the gun and it's finished. Save the money of having them do it at the factory, but if you want a reliable piece it has to be done.
