Update 4/20/04:

Today she went to the doctor. First time since surgery over a month ago. They said everything seems to be fine. They are taking her off the Morphine and Prednisone, along with some of the other medicines, however, she now has to start giving herself weekly injections. I think her new medicine is Methotrexate. She is feeling much better. Her stomach pain is minimizing, yet still exists. Her headaches have stopped. They figured out that the medicine she's supposed to take for the rest of her life is causing the headaches, so they have to find an alternative medicine to use, possibly Remicade infusions.

So overall, she's doing much better. She may start working by the beginning of May if she's in good enough condition to drive. She has a job saved for her at The UPS Store, she just won't be able to lift heavy boxes (or almost any boxes at all, which is a problem because she's stubborn and will do it anyways). I appreciate everybody's prayers and concerns. Thank you all

Brandon, glad to hear that everything's 'tip top'. Let her know that she's got a whole buncha RD-ers rootin' for her! laugh.gif

btw- you said UPS store... you guys wouldn't happened to have met at the UPS store while you were shipping or receiving something for the majikTib, have you? In other words, did you meet her as a result of shipping/receiving something for your car? (not to steal away the tone of the thread, but I just put two and two together and was curious)

Glad to hear it is all working out....one question though, why does she have to take meds if they removed it all?

Chrons disease is permanent, you have to take medicine to keep it stabilized. Correct me if I am wrong. Glad to hear that she is doing well majic!
