Archaeologists Find Jesus' Miracle Pool

They uncovered his healing pool, not him.
"Clearly I didnt read any of it,"
Yea, CLEARLY.pat.gif
The pool was used by the Jews before they entered the temple. Jesus just used it to heal a blind man. They're certain that it IS the pool because of artifacts that ONLY came from there.

they found a pool that has been described in the Bible... by location and other design. The artifacts they found help date the time of the pool. All it's saying is that the one mentioned in the Bible that was supposedly used by Jesus on this one occurence actually existed, whereas before they thought maybe it was only fictional and used to help describe a story or something deeper. They're saying it wasn't a metaphor or used to make a point, that it actually existed.
Eh. I bet the blind man was never really blind. Just one of the guys who was in with Jesus when he fooled everybody with his "magic". wink1.gif
What they found was a pool of high mineral water. 'course, every devout person will probably travel to that location and attempt to cure their ailments, contaminating the water, and basically turn pure mineral water to raw sewage.
Yes...faith in a person/being that listens to everyone's Instant Messaging prayers, but puts you on 'Block' for eternity. Where's your god now, when the world is suffering the most...'specially people who race and price of gas is nearing $3/gal? wink1.gif
Ditto. I wouldn't use "exaggerated"...it's more like "completely BS'd to the point where magical beings once existed", having these special abilities to manipulate the laws of physics and chemistry. But that's a different story.
Just remember, God doesn't help you win races...the Devil does, because he believes in you breaking the law and getting greedy to waste your money on your car. wink1.gif

However, in regards to the religous aspects of the pool, I believe that the Bible is full of true stories which have been exaggerated over time.

This should be great for tourism.
It is interesting that many aspects of the Bible are continuously being validated through archaeological finds.
I don't think there was any exaggeration by the writers of the new testament. They absolutely believed what they were documenting to be 100% true, and recorded them as such even when it was damaging to themselves or how early Christians were perceived as a whole.
