I have a guy that wants to race me for some cash at the track in a few days. He has a CRX si and I was wondering if I stand a chance with my 5 spd RD with cai-header-cb exhaust-plugs,wires. And if you have beat one at the track what did you have and what did the CRX have?

He also has 2 200sx's that he might bring as well but I didnt think they were very fast cars stock, are they?

I beat a CRX Si once...it ran 17.4 and I ran 17.2 He had catback exhaust and cai. I have cai and muffler and upgraded suspension. He told me that his crx was messed up. I have an auto he has a 5 speed. Good luck.

200sx is basically nissans "accent" unless its modded
dont get me wrong there great cars just slugs off the line
a crx si is a slug also they have like 100hp to the flywheel but they weigh less

best bet is go to the track BEFORE you go race him

Dude, I dunno..CRX's weigh almost nothing they're pretty quick.

Do you know what he has?

I saw a TV show where a CRX with i/h/e hit 14s, stock motor, and a chick drove it. I dunno maybe it was a factory freak but one of my buddy's had one and that thing was pretty quick too...I dunno.

IMO though, with your i/h/e it's going to come down to the better driver, I would venture a guess that your cars are about the same.

thing you have to watch for with the CRX... you can shoehorn almost any B series honda engine into that car. Like mentioned above, they are lightweight, so any modifications it might have do wonders for it's power to weight ratio.

 

He will probably get you out of the hole unless he launches real high and hotboxes first gear. If you can get him out of the hole and keep him off through second you in the clear for shure.

 

In Norway you can only get 3 types of the 200sx, the 1.8T / 2.0T and 2.4i. First one has 169hp stock, second 200, and last im not sure of. So I think all of them would beat you.

About the crx I have no idea.

 

Thanks guys...so pretty much if he is sitting stock I have him but a slightly built CRX will be a gamble. I really need to beat this guy...I cant let him say Tiburons are the uglyest and slowest pieces of shit of the road and get away with it....anyone around NC wanna take a crack at this guy on the track?
