they way you stated the movies HKC you stated that all them movies were anime first, that is what i was calling BS on.
haha tongue-tied.gif my fault Lee, there's a screw stuck in brain. hypnotized.gifQUOTE
you are wayyyyyyyy too picky.
call anyone of my friends up and ask them if i like anything, anything at all and they will say the magic word. i'm like simon cowell. i don't expect a royal carpet under my feet (hence i love dirty dirty rallying) but there's movies that are absolutely timeless, and today's brainwashing one hit wonder money makers. if those 2 million people are supporting tasteless movies, then i predict we've got a fifth installment of Fast and Furious on the way.
i'm picky as hell, but thanks to being super picky i'm here with you guys. but it will never mean i'm not friendly and don't value the work involved in making, the statistics shown, or other's opinions. the thing is if producers got money to spend, the first person to spend that money will get the contract to the franchise. sometimes the wrong people get their hands on them like the real-estate investor who made "Redline" (just awful) i always hate to leave the theatre "damn this could be made sooooo much better".
I think Titanic was a great movie that was an excellent depiction. They could have had emmanuelle beart for a better Rose than Kate Winslet, but bearts attitude toward acting is shallow.

Anyways, if you think Lord of the Rings was a good run for the money comci comca. I'd like it to be more like "Labyrinth" meets "Neverending Story" meets Industrial Light & Magic.
As good as it was, even the Fifth Element could have been so much better. Just take a look at the special features where they have the concept designs for it, they show the characters soooooooooo beast (wish i had photos up here) looking but in the final movie they look kind of dumb. I'm sure it was the same for LOTR and it will be the same for Akira. When you see the previews next year though, think about if it's as good as it could be. I know I will.

You want to talk anime, I`m the guy you want to see (my siggy proves it) laugh.gif . Ive been to conventions all over the states and going to more this year.
Ive got the special edition Akira and its one of my favorites. I think it`ll be interesting to see how its gonna be redone. But if you ask me, Evangelion is the best there ever was!!!!

LOTR is one of the best movies ever, picture of the year for god sakes! Read ALL the books (not just the main three), got LOTR trivial pursuit, monopoly, movie posters and bobble-heads!
I know this has nothing to do with the Akira movie but I`d just like to reaffirm my nerdiness. lmao.gif
