Lets hope nothing happens but I am sure that will freak any would be terrorist out that they will reconsider doing something like that.

Well, with the arrests that have happened around the world lately, I'm not suprised we moved it up a notch. As for weather or not something would happen, no idea. I'm not even going to guess. Just hope it doesn't.

i don't think the government would issue an arbitrary alert. however, there may be validity to the theory of detering terrorists by issuing a threat. my thoughts, we know they're up to something...and issuing the alert serves two purposes: alerting us and detering them.
