the NF sonata is supposed to be the new benchmark for Hyundai. THE car to push them over the hurdles they created in the early 90s w/ the CHEAP cars. They need to make a bigger name for themselves in the states, and this is supposed to be the car that does it. I do like the current sonata's... but this new one is REAL nice....
but i'm w/ cyber. only new Hyundai i would get would be an Elantra. Hatchback wink1.gif

I am sure they want a bigger slice of the US market and the Euro masrket as well. Nice car, I like the current model as much as I like thisone...
New Sonata: Yay.
Change the Tib for a Sonata: Nay! Too different cars.
However, if you're decided to change your vehicle category, then go for it, I am sure theres nothing a Honda can do, that this new Sonata can't.

Let's see.
1. I like it. Looks good.
2. Nice engine stats, what's the weight of the car?
3. I wish you would have tuned your Tib a bit mang, you'd be much happier with it. Why turn around and get rid of it though?
4. Are you not planning on tuning this one either?

For straight line driving, weight/power ratio works... but remember cars have to turn... and weight does not like to turn... a ton and a half is no lightweight, so driving a Sonata won't be any sports oriented. If I were to buy a car as a daily driver and keep my Tib, I'd definitely consider this Sonata (Hyundai price/value offer is still on top of the hill), but it does not matter very much if this car is very powerful or not, after all, you won't do much spirited driving on it would you?

YAY!
Can't wait to take it for a rip when it gets to the dealership.
It's got the "world engine" lotsa praise for it.
As well Industry has it that, Camry and Accords will see a dramatic decline in sales once this hits our shores. Apparently they say THIS Sonata will do for Hyundai, what the Camry did for Toyota. :biggthump
