Default 2006 Sonata, Yay or Nay?

What do yous guys think of the new Sonata?

I REALLY like the style, and from what I've read from various sites it looks like a nice car. I'm thinking of trading the Tiburon in as soon as payments are up for one of these new Sonatas.

Plus it's the new lambda engine, I like these numbers on it...

3.3 Liter
237 HP
228 lb/ft Torque

Looks like it will take over the delta engine!

Plus, there is so much interior room that it is literally a class above the Accord, Camry, and Altima. It is considered a large car, not a mid-size. Any opinions?

does it say anywhere how much it weighs? cuz 237 is a fairly decent amount of hp. I think the supercharged grand prixs are 240 stock and even though they are big cars, they are still pretty quick. and the gtp is a s/c 3.8L.... if that 3.3L is pushin the same thats impressive as hell

EDIT: talked to a gtp owner, he says his car is 240 hp stock at a weight of 3600lbs

3250 for the base models, and 3400 for the v6

Nice power numbers, but it looks too plain imo, you could mistake that for a honda. Tib's look more exotic wink1.gif

I see what you're saying, and it makes a lot of sense. I've owned a Tiburon for four years. I'm ready for a little change. I really like the Honda Accord, but for under $20,000 I can get all the options that would cost $25,000+ for the Honda. Besides the radio, my Tiburon has been mostly stock for all four years I've owned it, so it's not like I need the "sport" part of it.

I'm about ready to go lambda baby. I just like the word lambda laugh.gif
