hence the asterisk at what i said was the *listed* price. i havent talked to em yet, just found the car today, and i could probably talk them down a bit. hell, last time i went car shopping i got one guy to take 5k off the price. (i dont expect that much to be taken off) and i didnt buy the car, but i can be pretty damn convincing if i want something. lol. *chuckles*

if you want a gk that bad there was a guy on nt.com that was selling a 03 with only 12k on the speedo for 12 g's. to me that is alot better of a offer than what you are looking at. there was a crazy orange one on ebay last week, don't know what they wanted for it.

Ever notice that GK and GAY rhyme?

Girl, look a bit WIDER than SC, the east coast is so compact you could go to any of these places and pick up a car.

^^^^
Red RD2 in PA, a decent amount of modification already, 69K miles, around 5K dollars.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2001-Hyunda...1QQcmdZViewItem
^^^
Silver RD2 in NJ, nice rims, some other modifications too. 60K miles on it, currently at 3K with 3 days left.

^^^
Mostly stock Silver RD2 in Long Island. 100K miles, but it's selling for $3295 BUY IT NOW. You could fly up, get that sucker, bring it back, and it would still be way less than $5K.

Or you could check this link...

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/searchresult...t_type=priceASC

That one has a TON of RD2's, all within 500 miles of you, in varying conditions of modification or stock, milage, and decent prices.

if i could get some good $$$ for my car, i would upgrade to a 2005-2007 GK.

12k is too much.. i would say its worth more around 10.5 to 11k. miles aren't bad for an 03 either.. i would probably rather spend a couple extra G's and get an 05 or 06.

heh. thanks peeps. here are a couple things to consider.

#1

yep, id DEF. rather have an rd2 preferably.
cant find any round here. im not sticking to columbia, but i cant be going outside 250 miles unless im on leave, because my nco refuses to give me a pass.(can you say "AWOL"?) As much as i get called in and as much as i work, i simply dont have time to go out and about that much to look without knowing for sure im coming home with something.

#2. UrS0NvS:

Its not that i want a gk, reread the top, im just not having helluva much luck with finding nice rd2's within my constraints.

#3. demon_fox:

chill man. heh. i didnt say i was getting the damned thing, i said i dont speak mechanic as of yet and needed some opinions.

#4. REDZMAN:

LOL! i did in fact notice. im just pertubed, starting to get frustrated with a number of things. That being that i NEVER have enough time to do anything. Also a couple of other things too. One being i need something lower-ish mileage that i know is certified and is guna last at least a couple years. I have an appt at Ft Gordon, GA on the 4th (yes the same day i fly out), with the neurosurgeon. He basically gets to decide my fate in the army or not. (2 herniated disks, "paresthias in global R leg, among other *unpleasant* side effects of posterior/lateral herniation encroaching on R S1 nerve route"...yea...thanks army, tongue.gif, what your saying is by the time im 50 ill feel about 80)

I have to be able to make payments on the car, because i need to start saving up a helluva lot more due to not knowing whats guna happen on the 4th. If he decides to cut on me, its very highly likely ill be medboarded and i need to have enough money to find a place, yada yada. you get the idea. Lol. Also, i dont plan on going above 70-80k miles on it as is. Theres 2 or 3 of those cars you listed though that im looking at right now and a site or 2 too.... fing02.gif

#5. Socks:

Heh. Yea, Im not paying 12k for it. i havent even talked to the guy, let alone made and offer IF they even still have the car. After i talk to him, IF i talk to him, he'll have to come down to a max of 11, preferably 10 or so.

All being said, i feel pretty stupid but i was looking for help with this stuff. Yup. <--- is definately a noob. laugh.gif hah. anyhow, thanks much for the help so far, and even more ideas would be appreciated! fing02.gif
