Nitrous 'port injection'
How much would it cost (assuming I already had a normal nitrous kit) to convert to this type of setup where it goes directly into each runner, and what would need to be done/purchased?

You would need the fuel and nitrous distribution blocks, hoses, and properly sized nozzles, plus to drill and tap the runners. Not too big of a deal as long as you can find the right size of nozzles to add up to the power level you want.

There's only one size nozzle (per brand). Nitrous Express uses the Pirahna nozzles for direct port. Go with those!
You'll also need JETS to go inside the nozzles. Look at my sticky to get the correct size. Those can be had for a couple bucks each on ebay. Get NX for NX Pirahnas.
Then you'll need to tap the manifold for 1/8" NPT. Probably the bottom unless you're really good at placing them. I did it on the top, but it was tight.
I went with braided lines instead of bending hardlines. This was a mistake. They look awesome, but they move around and shred anything in their path.
Then the 2 distribution blocks. Those can be of any brand you want since they all do the same thing.
Old pics of my setup, but a good example of what you can do:
