Actually propane has been run as a power adder for years. It's not like injecting N2O. N2O function is to add oxygen to the chemical process of combustion. Propane is added as a supplement to the fueling. Propane kit can make huge gains on tubo cars because you can run more boost. It is especially effective in turbo diesel applications. My cousin had a cummins diesel in a Dodge ram, with pump/ECU upgrade and propane fumigation system that made over 175Whp and nearly 250Ft/lbs increase.

OMG!

hahaha, dammit, i was gonna win it just so i could cook some wiener dogs and mabye power my Tiki statue (ref. simpsons).

oh well, i hope that guy knows he spent 300 on one hell of a deal smile.gif LOL

ok, so you get richer gas, there's no way just running 110 octane fuel would give you 20hp. Unless your running high compression or turbo you probably won't see a difference on a N/A car.

even then, i don't want a little blue flame sticker on my car wink

yeah, it's just like adding 110 octane gas. there's no inherent power increase from puting race gas in an n/a tiburon. if you're running 10psi, then the added detonation resistance would allow more advanced timing or more boost.

He Said it made 20 hp on his WRX, which happens to be a turbo car. He also give turbos cares as example application. Like I said this can be very effective in turbo applications, but you are right, it would probably not do much for an NA car.

I would highly doubt it. Searched through i-club and theres no mention of someone running propane....you could run 17.5psi safely on the stock turbo on street gas before fuel cut comes in. Lets say STI injectors, fuel pump and VF30 turbo will allow it to run 18 safely. I really highly doubt someone has the balls to push it to say, 20psi unless they have a T03/04. Even then, its pretty stressing on the powertrain, especially an awd one.
