JonGTR don't drop hints on the ignorant:

If I wind up getting an NOS setup it would be a Zex system.

Nitrous Oxide Systems got a huge boost when they were prominently featured in The Fast and The Furious. Unfortunately, the therm "NOS" (pronounced nawz) was also introduced. Previous to that movie, everyone understood that NOS is a *company* that sells nitrous oxide systems. You want nitrous, not NOS, unless you are going to buy from NOS. If you say you want a Zex NOS system, you sound like a boob to those who understand what you want to be saying.

In almost every case I've tried to do what you did, their response is that they already know the difference, but the name is just stuck in their head and a hard habit to break due to other friends having the same habit. Similarly, I always ask for a Kleenex, when I should say a tissue.

Actually I disagree. In high school (I won't say how long ago this was but the EG/EJ's were still new and the hottest ride at school BangHead.gif ) nitrous was a hot mod and because that brand was readily available locally and just easier to say we all just called it "nos" despite brand/kit. Kind of like band-aid and ziploc. Don't credit f&f with that.... or anything.

Also Good jorb on the kills beercheers.gif

^^^I agree. It was "NAWZ" long before TF&F.

Are you running a wide open throttle switch or just a button?
