^^^
WTF is up with the HUGE signature? Read and follow the rules please, warnings will follow.

Guys, I'm building them ALL, I just built 5 last night.

Here's what I'm doing.

1. Assembly.
2. Greasing the main pivot bearing.
3. Using Loctite on all threads to ensure they do NOT come apart while driving.
4. Inspection and packing.

What will you need to do when you receive it?

1. Take out your shifter.
2. Clean and install the white bushings from the OEM shifter into the new one.
3. Grease the white bushings and the bottom and side pivot during install.
4. Adjust the lock nut for the shift knob to the height you want.
5. Loosen the lock nut on the upper pivot if if feels too tight.

That's it. If you loosen that one, just a BIT folks, you don't want slop.

Just the one I sent out on Thursday for Enigo.

I just ordered boxes so hopefully they'll be here on Tuesday or Wednesday, then they'll all go out.

I got mine today and installed it! Thanks for quick shipping Redz!

I wish I had a camera so I could snap some pictures... but I'm using a black stock GK knob (round leather ftw!) so it'd look different anyways.

Only complaint is that when I shift into 5th or Reverse instead of staying off to the side, it re-centers so it looks like its in 3rd or 4th respectively. 1st and 2nd stay off to the side, so its only the right hand side that moves back to center.

Doesn't bother me too much, since I know when I'm in reverse, and I know when I'm in 5th.

I tried reinstalling to see if fixed the problem, but it didn't make a difference. I followed the short shifter DIY found here:
http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?showtopic=20974

People with the Megan shifter have had similar problem in the past as noted here:
http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?showtopic=26547

On another note... I was befuddled as to what to do with the nut on top of the shifter threads, as all it did was get in the way for putting on my knob. Probably because I'm using the stock GK knob.

Other than that, I couldn't be happier. Everything was well put together, so installation was really easy. People have complained about the stock bushing, but I didn't notice any problems with reusing them.

Once I have the shifter boots from Missy and finally get a shifter surround, I'll take pictures. Promise smile.gif

Take some Macro pictures of your install, I bet you money you installed the return spring wrong, that's almost always the problem.

Glad you like it, get some pics up.

BTW, my wife's name is Marla, or Lizgiggles on the site here, Missy is Nate's GF.

Oh, and the nut, take it off, you probably don't need it at all. It's simply there as a jam nut to let you control...

a. the height of the knob.
b. the angle of the shift pattern of the knob.

Boxes arrived today, perfect fit, I've got 4 packed up and ready to ship, once I figure out how to do this UPS crap, I'll send them out tomorrow morning and let everyone know how many we have left.
