It's disappointing that you think your forum is less "Nazi-ish" even though it's run by someone who has no reservations about bashing other forums. Come on. Forum bashing? That's pathetic.

Paul, Bob... may I ask how many members you will consider when evaluating our forum?

Also note, RED ZMAN is not the forum owner. He's one of a few administrators set to keep the forums in working condition. We have quite a few thousand other members, if you'd like to consider the forum as a whole.

I would prefer you both stay on the forums and contribute to the discussions, but it appears Bob has come with the mindset of disliking our site (something that seemed strongly implied from reading his first few posts).

I'm considering as many members as REDZMAN did when evaluating NT just now.

Evaulating members? What? I haven't evaluated any members there, just the actions by some of the staff. I'm welcome to my opinion, just because I'm an admin here doesn't mean I won't voice it. I'm free to do that here. Do I bash NT over there? No, because that's stupid and suicidal.

And "just now"? Please Paul. I've been working in the Hyundai field since before NT was even around, I've seen it go through it's ups and downs. It's not that bad right now, but that doesn't mean the shit doesn't stink there.

I never see Javageek bash other forums. Well, not MUCH.

Please Paul, I bash NT about one one thousandth of what RDTiburon.com or RD TIburons themselves get bashed over there.

We allow folks to post about NT, but most of the posts at NT that have the words RDTIburon in them get deleted, with no warnings, no notice, nothing. We aren't a competing forum with NT, but it happens none the less. I'm a member at about 30 different forums, and yes, NT is the most in line with the Nazi Party that I've ever joined.

It happens. They make a good amount of money off of each vendor, and they don't want to lose that. I wouldn't either, but money does NOT run this site.

BTW, this thread is to WELCOME the new member, and it's gotten way off topic.

REDZMAN, you are warned. f***tard.

I dunno, is a person who comes here talking bad about the site and not posting a proper introduction welcome?

I feel the need to comment on NT:

I have had no problems with their staff. I've communicated with a few of them, met one in person at a car show, never had any communication problems whatsoever. They don't want any bad feelings between us, and we feel the same way.

However, I do completely disagree with the way they run things and moderate. Posts simply DISAPPEAR without warning, I don't like their rules or the way they enforce them. They run their site as a business... we simply want to provide as much information as possible to our members in the easiest format to search through. Our forums are different from NT. We operate differently. We have differences of opinion.

This will NOT become an RDT staff vs. NT staff discussion. We have no problems with their site owner or moderators. I personally don't like NT's approach, but that's why I'm a member here and not there. I'm sure they don't entirely like the way our site is run either.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Bobzilla @ Feb 20 2008, 12:31 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Howdy. Some y'all know me. Was your intent on posting here to cause trouble? Seems like it... you must not have been given very accurate information.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Bobzilla @ Feb 20 2008, 12:51 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>REally? What do you want? Name, social security number, date of birth and mother's maiden name?</div>Heh... I find it somewhat funny. Did you even see the first post of this thread? It's PRETTY damn obvious what we want. Smart ass...

^REDZ is right you know, there are a few good people over there but they don't know first generation tiburons ever existed. if i had a new gen tiburon i'd have the most respect for the original supporters.

i almost got kicked out of there for saying the new genesis coupe was ugly. that's just silly.

Remember forum fighting is like competing in the special Olympics....

Anyways welcome. Sometimes the rules can seem a little cold and strict but trust me they are there for a reason. Once you jump through the "hoops" of registration, posting in the new user thread, and dropping off the mods "new user radar" by obeying the site rules then you'll be fine. You'll find the site to be one of the best run, maintained, reliable/quick hyundai sites around. Of course you'll find that we are mostly rd fanatics but that's to be expected wink1.gif.

You won't find any trolls or crap loaded threads and thats all thanks to the hard working mod staff. And despite what anyone who sent you here said we are trying to make it the best site we can.

I understand that, I was just replying to the previous comment that asked how many members I was evaluating in making my statement about this site. You're obviously not taking the general population of NT into consideration either.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Please Paul, I bash NT about one one thousandth of what RDTiburon.com or RD TIburons themselves get bashed over there.

I'm sorry, but that's just not true. We get a lot (well, relatively) of RD Tibs that show up on NT. They post up, people ask for pics, they get the same treatment as people do here, and there's always people that refer them here, to http://www.rdtiburon.com I know because I've done it about 10 times. And none of my posts have been deleted, and I haven't seen a single person bash an RD just because it's an RD, and posts bashing other forums are extremely rare- I don't think I've seen any in the two years I've been a member. Ever. So I really don't know where you're coming from.

Actualyl I did a quick search. There must be a TON of posts about RDTiburon for most to get deleted, because here's just two of many posts telling people to go to RDT:
http://www.newtiburon.com/forums/showthrea...ron#post2364373
http://www.newtiburon.com/forums/showthrea...ron#post2201980

And here's a thread selling RDT's calender. And it's not deleted!
http://www.newtiburon.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=123799

And as a prime example of how RD's get bashed, here's a thread called "Newb from RDT." (Wait- there's no bashing posts at all! AND it's not deleted! Crazy!)
http://www.newtiburon.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=114082

I have no intention of getting banned or anything, I'm just having a conversation here. I'm guessing I'll get reprimanded now for going off-topic though. Like the thread is going to be on-topic.

Paul, PLEASE, drop the NT vs. RDT discussion. Our forums are not and will not be against each other.

Redz was right in what he said. I have been involved in a few threads with magically deleted posts. My signature was even deleted, and the reason was for "promoting" a forum that was not a vendor or sponsor (probably not the way it was put, but that was the idea).

My sig was something like the following (used to show my presence in the community),
NewTiburon.com - Newbie
RDTiburon.com - SuperMod
HyundaiAftermarket.org - Mod

I was also part of a FlyRyde thread that had a dozen or more posts DELETED without warning, and later when Chris read it, it was taken COMPLETELY out of context because I was referring to a post that was no longer there, and he took it as an attack on him. Deleted posts only promote more problems. I've seen it done quite a few times.

I'm happy you could find threads where our forum name exists. I am aware that they sometimes refer people here. We have no problem with their staff, they have no problem with ours. Nothing more to say about it.

END OF RDT vs. NT discussion!
