um if you have a 1.8 then you already have a beta swap. lol. Honestly it is the most worthwile swap for a Hyundai. I sooooo miss the betas power as compared to the 1.5l I have now. But gimme some time and this accent will be what the other one should have been.

Depends. Why do you think it has a 1.8l? Some swapped cars do go for pretty cheap so it's not impossible.

The Beta is not a joint venture between Hyundai Mitsubishi and Chrysler. That's the Theta, known also as the World Engine. It's available in 1.8, 2.0, and 2.4l displacements. The Sonata has a 2.4l version and the Genesis Coupe has a 2.0t version.
The Beta is loosely similar to the 4G63, but only loosely. Very very little is close enough to interchange.
Beta swaps do require minor fabrication, you have to fabricate a passenger side motor mount and slot the other mounts. The wiring varies depending on the year of the Accent, in early X3 Accents the ECU pinout is the same on the Beta I and Alpha so the Beta I ECU will plug into the Accent harness and run the engine. In LC and LC2 Accents the 1.6l ECU can be used to run the Beta II but the Beta II ECU can't be used without rewiring because the pinout is different. Compatibility in the MC Accent is unknown as far as I know.

Thanks! It's not that fast, but it's a lot of fun.
You definitely have a 1.8l then. Nice to get it with the swap already done.
Autox is great and it'll be fun to try it out with the sway bar on it.

You have a MAF so it'll be a bit of a hack job to do an intake no matter what. For the LC/LC2 Accents a CAI from a 99 Eclipse non-turbo fits fine. If you cut the intake and splice in the MAF it's probably the closest fit you're going to find.
