Welcome, and nice intro.

Your problem sounds like the traditional 4K flat spot in our ECU's. The 1.8L ECU totally got rid of that for me.

Do some searching on that, you'll find out all the info you need to know.

Thanks REDZMAN, I'll start workikng on it. Now, is that an 1.8 ECU from the elantra or the 1.8 tib. Again thanks for the help. smile.gif

Welcome man, tib looks great! And why didn't anyone tell me about the 4k deadspot......? I thought this was my clutch the whole time!!!! I jsut replaced my ECU and it went away, I thought it was just a weather issue then. Gah, that frustrates me so much, but makes me happy at the same time too!

hello everyone, sorry it took long to respond I was extremely occupied. Thanks for the link Dark Shark, I had actually red have of the info before registering and founf it a bit confusing. I guess I will read it thoroughly until I get it smile.gif. Here a some more pics:

i also have the dead spot, it wasnt there when i bought the car years ago, but after a year or so, it just showed up one day, i noticed it the very 1st time it did it. been like that for years now.

ive installed a 1.8 ecu, and its still very much there. i thought it was my cracked mani, fixed that, still there. i still havent fixed it yet. once day someone will figure it out i hope. but till then i have no choice but to deal with it
