I acctually have the last one your posted and as everyone said it is basically underneath the battery and it doesn't mount all that well. I would get a new one but im short on cash right now.

dude, they can't want too much for a headlight. and you could always just walk in there and find the clip on the ground or something and take it to the front desk.
well he was putting the lightbulb back together and he droped that clip inside the headlight assembly =/
so the clip is still there, we tried magnets and fishing it out lol, didnt work.... called the dealership if i could just buy a new clip and they told me they dont sell them individually, they only sell the whole headlight for 375
is there any way to take out the headlight without removing the entire front bumper/mask?
and thanks for the links

bend up a long paperclip so that it holds the bulb in and you will be golden. fing02.gif
yeah, on a rd2 you will have to take off the whole front bumper. there is a diy for it if you want to give it a try. check in the DIY forum. up in the "stickied" section, there is a Approved DIY list. look in there.

i dunno about a paperclip... those clips are really rigid. I think a paperclip might not give the support required by it. You may want to try some "wire non-electrical" or bailing wire, that everyone in the military mistakes for solder in the maintenance bays. You can get some at your local hardware store, or something similar at autozone used for holding up brake calipers when you're changing your rotors. I think the best bet would be to "find one on the ground" at the junk yard.
ya ill have to give it a shot later,
quick question thats sorta OT, read in one of the threads here that some parts are interchangable between the RD1&2's, the front/rear strut bars on kspec.com are for '96-'99 tibs. would they fit flush on a RD2?
edit: ya about the clip, here, i called litterly every junk yard and wrecker there is, 3/4 have never even wrecked a tib or seen a tib in there yards before, and the very few which did have a tib, the entire front end (front steats and onward) were tottally gone, so ill try to take the light out and see if it will just fall out, or i got a friends father whos a machinist and he can just make another one in his spare time, ill still check out that bailing wire, see if i can fiddle that thing into something remotly which could fit in the mean time, thanks for the help

PAPERCLIPS WORK FINE, MANY MEMBERS HAVE DONE IT.
Damn, stop kicking down ideas if they are proven to work. Get you a THICK GAUGE PAPERCLIP, and use it.
It works. Then when you get a chance get your headlight out and get the OEM one out.
