HKC ya cheater, putting all the best RD1 pics up lmao.gif Now if only that kit was in full production...
RD2 FTW!!

It basically comes down to personal preferance, which you like the looks of more. The RD2 has a slightly upgraded interior, but other than that (besides a few $k) there's not much of a difference. Aftermarket support is basically identical, and the engine is the same. So it's completely up to you.
It also kinda depends on if you find a really good deal on one or another.

rd2 looks best in my opinion the back on rd1 is ugly to me. and just so u know MOST GK owners are the sort of people who get stuck with a tib so they mod it till they can get something else. which is why they dont stick around too long.
happy hunting though.

I love the RD1. cleaner sleeker front end and a sexier rear end wink1.gif though, take it from someone on their second 1997 tib, try to find a 99 Tiburon. The brake setup changed in 98 in ways that make the 99 way easier to work on, meaning cheaper prices when it comes to changing rotors. Also, the RD1's headlights are much easier to replace than the RD2's. The 1997 Tiburon came standard with a 1.8l engine and the FX had a 2.0 which has 10 more horsepower over the 1.8's claimed 130hp (at the crank). The 98+ models were all 2.0l in size. But aside from that, all the RDs are the same mechanically. its just the dash and bumpers that are different.
Peter you bought Jaws' car? Wow cool! lol
Anyways, my vote is for the RD1 because of the body styling. You have many more options. Engine shouldnt be a factor since they are the same. If you do get a RD1 get a 99. They wont have a rev a canister(pesky emissions thing) and rotors will be non-captive which is a plus for rotor changes and aftermarket wheels! So RD1 all the way!!! smile.gif fing02.gif

RD2. Honestly, the RD1 is boring and just doesn't float my boat. Most of the folks you see driving them are seniors or don't care about them because it LOOKS slow.
