i did not get ripped.. i will go out and take pictures of the darn thing tomorrow to prove it to u guys, i never thought this was true.... but now i have seen it in person it is a different story.

OH...OK...NOW I BELIVE YOU..*SARCASM*.. dude..i dont know, this sounds crazy to me, im telling you IF for some weird azz reason you can get a muffler belt..U CAN NOT GET ONE AT A PARTS STORE

Well, I took my exhaust system off about 4 times and never found any belts....

please show it to me!!!

well obviously there is something he is getting confused with.
he said there was a belt, and that it had holes in it--so it did need to get replaced if you saw that with your own eyes 97tibby. anyways, there's no such thing as a "muffler belt" no matter what you say. if there for some reason is a belt or something similar near the muffler, i assure you it's technical term is not muffler belt.

Don't call him stupid, he's just not car smart like some of us.

Could it be flexpipe with the holes? what about those rubber pieces that hold the muffler? Can't think of anything else there besides pipes and a muffler...

no its not hangers or the flex pipe, its a piece that goes around the beginning of the muffler, i will get pictures tomorrow, i was just as shocked as you to find this out.
