Muffler Belt?

Muffler Belt?
okay guys... today i was going outside to start my car to let it warm up before i left.. and all of a sudden i heard this really squeeky noise..
So i shut it off, drove to my local AutoZone and i started my car to let them listen to it, and one of there main mechanics working heard it and ran out side and was like "SHUT IT OFF! YOUR GOING TO BLOW YOUR MUFFLER BELT!" and i was like hmm.... where is it at, so he takes me to underneath my car where the muffler enough and surely enough .. there it is, with a few big holes in it. So i told him i would replace it and he said it would cost $49.25. and i was like okay... heres my card as long as i get to drive it
So.. they replace it and tell me i am good to go.. so i take off everything seems fun and im happy since i got my car fix and shouldnt have to replace it for a while.
anyone else have problems like this? and what prices have you paid for your belts?

WTF? there is no such thing? Well then wat the heck was that belt for..... i think you guys are making up loads 0f BS...... just to confuse me, i thought this was a place that you can come to for help and guidance. Not to be tricked

yea dude there is absolutley nothing called a muffler belt, i have worked in parts for almost 4 years, and there is NO SUCH THING...just kinda sucks you got owned though...gonna hafta rase the flago n the muffler belt though..bsflag.gif
