Thanks alot. 1 Farad will work , really? Why do people buy 20 farad ones? I was planning on buying http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5760076032&rd=1

but I have no idea what im doing atm, with caps. I don't know how many farad go for what, and what they actually do, and if its required. I think they built up power so your lights dont dim but im guessing.

Can anyone tell me what I need to look for when buying a headunit? I need it to be able to work with this setup:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5759546177&rd=1

and I plan on buying this cap:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5760716209&rd=1

Thanks, if there are any problems you notice or anything I should know please hit me up, I'm trying to set this up without any problems laugh.gif

As for head units, as long as it has an amp preout (non-fading preout is better) it will work. I dont think I have seen or bought any aftermarket headunits that does'nt have amp preouts (RCA connectors). I personally would make sure it will play mp3's. laugh.gif: There is something about putting 24 hours of songs on 1 disc.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (trancedmp3)</div><div class='quotemain'>Hmm, Well I just went to the local sound store and talked to them about what I should do..they said that a 700w amp isnt good enough for 2 12"s, they said you need 2000w or so.

Is that true? =/</div>

OK, so the guy you talked to is completly wrong. I was running the 4 channel 700 watt amp bridged, and it was pouding bass out of my Grand AM. Believe me, I am not lieing just to sell my subs. They sounded absolutely awesome.

One wierd thing about my car that I cant figure out is why the battery wire has a fuse inbetween it, and it doesnt start when the fuse is blown out... is this fuse wire for a system or for the engine or what? Its annoying having to replace fuses every 4-5 starts.
