the xplodes sounded awesome in my grand am...I think the 3 subs will actually sound worse than 2 subs. I think there will be too much distortion and rattle with 3 subs punding, not to mention the massive ammount of power needed to push them

 

Hmm, Well I just went to the local sound store and talked to them about what I should do..they said that a 700w amp isnt good enough for 2 12"s, they said you need 2000w or so.

Is that true? =/

 

Good to see someone that's gonna take care of it bought that Tib. It was Yuri's, then he sold it to someone in Ohio, then it just went back up for sale in January and I guess you are the one who bought it. laugh.gif: I thought it had a system in it though. The guy that you bought it from must have taken it out.

Here, how much RMS watts is your 2 12's putting out? Each or togher, just give me a number.

I had 2 12" Apline type R's which are 1000RMSwatts put together, and 3000Watt Max. I Had a 1000RMS watt amp. I sold the subs to bluetibby, and he bought a 500RMS mono block amp. He still can't crank it to it's potential because it might vibrate something loose.

 

Alright thanks, yeah I'm definately taking care of it, repainting the body kit now, repainting dash work, cleaned it all out, back seats have custom emb now.. He did pull out the old system, but that was for looks and not sound anyways.

All I can say is... its FAST, very very fast. I need a sound system to finish it off laugh.gif

I don't have enough for a cap yet, or a new faceplate (mine is stock since the guy pulled the old system out).

Can someone tell me what farad cap I should get with those two 12"s in the link above? Also any suggestions on a head unit that is cheap and will do all the functions needed?


And what movie history are you talking about? 2 Fast 2 Furious is all I know about, which is pretty cool.
